ABOUT ACNFC
Our Mission
We empower and uplift Black Canadians facing intersecting vulnerabilities by offering targeted, culturally grounded programs, advocacy, and resources. Our mission is to dismantle systemic barriers and foster resilience, independence, and a deep sense of belonging.
Our Vision
We envision a Canada where every Black individual—regardless of origin or economic background—can thrive in a truly inclusive and equitable society. A future where Black voices are not only heard but central to shaping change.
Why We Exist
Systemic racism does not exist in isolation.
- For a Black newcomer, the challenge isn’t just learning a new language—it’s confronting racial bias in the job market.
- For a Black youth from a low-income family, the struggle isn’t only academics—it’s navigating an education system with embedded disparities.
We focus on these intersections because that is where the need is greatest and the support most vital.
Our Core Values
- Intersectional Advocacy: We see the whole person and every layer of identity.
- Cultural Affirmation: We ground our support in the richness of the African and Black diaspora.
- Community Power: We believe in the transformative strength of mentorship and shared experience.
- Empowerment Over Aid: We equip individuals with tools to create their own success.
